Artists for Peace and Justice
2015 FESTIVAL GALA

APJ - Artists for Peace and Justice is a non profit organization founded by Paul Haggis and friends in 2009 that encourages peace and social justice. APJ’s immediate goal is to serve the poorest communities in Haiti with programs in education, healthcare and dignity through the arts. APJ supports the Academy for Peace and Justice, the nation’s first private secondary school for the very poor - a program of the St. Luke Foundation - and Artists Institute, a college for art and technology, which creates modern jobs and drives growth of local creative industries.

I was asked to create event graphics with the theme ‘LOVE & PEACE’ with flower as design element which is a metaphor for the Hope and Inspiration for Haiti's future which client was hoping to achieve at the gala event. The bold flower collage and clean typography made the theme bright and full of promise, while the colors and Gerbera flower motifs were appropriate for the Fall Season in Toronto. Entire design language very well blended with the venue Casa Loma and it’s beautiful garden.
